Headquartered in Bristol, Hybrid creates digital outcomes for clients, helping them to engage specialist audiences across the higher education and technology sectors.
The business provides a full suite of digital marketing services, including campaign development, media planning and buying, content creation and data analytics.
Hybrid has an international client base which includes higher education institutions such as the University of Bristol, Australian National University and Columbia University in New York, in addition to global tech brands such as Autodesk, Cisco and Verizon.
Partnering to grow
In June 2021, LDC invested £13million in Hybrid. We are supporting Hybrid’s existing management team, led by CEO Chris Cammann, to broaden the business’ services to clients and pursue its domestic and international growth ambitions. Founder James Craven continues to support the business and provides strategic advice as Board Director.
As part of the transaction, Hybrid appointed industry pioneer Jerry Buhlmann as Non-Executive Chairman. Jerry brings more than 30 years’ experience in media and advertising to the business, having previously been CEO of Aegis Group PLC and then Dentsu Aegis Network.
Growth milestones
One year after our investment in Hybrid, the business opened its first US office in Philadelphia and has plans to grow the new office to 80 employees over the next two to three years.
In June 2023, Hybrid acquired Prompt Marketing, another prominent innovator in the education marketing sector. This strategic move reinforces Hybrid’s commitment to deepening its expertise and expanding its reach in the education landscape. Prompt’s Founder & Managing Director, Marcella Collins will join the senior leadership team in the critical role of Director of Strategy. Marcella brings years of industry knowledge, having previously held positions at other market leading platforms including IDP Connect, Education.com and The Complete University Guide. Marcella’s experience and innovative approach to Gen Z campaigns will be vital to Hybrid’s higher education clients around the globe.
