We kicked off August by welcoming Sedex, a market-leading sustainability data and technology provider, into our portfolio. Our investment will support Sedex’s organic growth strategy to drive sustainability in global supply chains. Sedex’s technology platform, tools and consultancy services enable organisations to assess, manage and report on ESG risks and impacts across their supply chains.
We hosted an online webinar for our portfolio company management teams with data consultancy Profusion on effective ESG data management.
We’ve also continued to support our portfolio companies with their ESG efforts. This month has been all about forging meaningful partnerships. Here is a snapshot.
MSQ: Using Innovation to drive Net Zero.
MSQ, the London-headquartered global creative and technology group, is working alongside climate solution company Ecologi to promote its latest carbon removal solution, Biochar. The project removes from the atmosphere the equivalent amount of greenhouse gasses produced by the vehicles that pass MSQ’s London offices. The group also plans to roll out this technology in several of its other global locations and will make the offer available to other businesses too.
LeMieux: Strengthening Relationships.
Leading equestrian brand LeMieux has partnered with equine welfare charity World Horse Welfare. This new partnership will help to raise funds for the charity’s vital work and strengthen LeMieux’s existing relationship with the charity that has raised over raised over £20,000 in the past year. The move will mean that LeMieux will continue to fundraise for the charity on its website’s checkout portal, alongside other exciting campaigns in the pipeline. Recently, Le Mieux also launched its Earth Collection, which comprises a range of products made from recycled materials.
Cleveland: Celebrating carbon neutrality.
Stockton-on-Tees-based shipping containers supplier Cleveland Containers celebrated its first year of being carbon neutral and reflected the work it has been doing with climate solutions provider Ecologi, over the past 12 months. In this time, Cleveland supported 11 tree planting projects totalling a huge 1,410 trees planted and supported the prevention of 8 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted through four verified carbon avoidance projects.
MiHub: launching its new ESG site.
Derby-based global workwear solutions supplier Mi Hub launched its new ESG site, called ‘Mi ESG Hub’, this month. As part of the company’s wider website relaunch, this new site will allow users to explore MiHub’s ESG pillars and objectives and how the business has been doing to achieve these goals. The site also hosts the MiHub’s most recent ESG report that lays out plans for it to achieve verified carbon neutrality on Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030 and Scope 3 by 2040.
