LDC wins private equity team of the year at North West Dealmakers Awards

LDC was named Private Equity Team of the Year at last night’s Insider North West Dealmakers Awards 2022.

The awards, which celebrate the achievements and contributions of the region’s private equity sector, recognised the success of LDC in the region, the quality of the team and their commitment to supporting the local community.

During the qualifying period, LDC completed 13 transactions with a combined enterprise value of more than £500m. This included new partnerships with the likes of Manchester-based digital agency CTI Group, Alderley Edge-based software solutions company IEG4 and Ellesmere Port-headquartered EMS, one of the UK’s leading providers of mobile clinical solutions to the healthcare sector. In addition, the team has continued to support its portfolio management teams with their organic and acquisitive growth plans.

The team completed a series of successful exits during the qualifying period, including its exit from Cheshire-headquartered SRL Traffic Systems to 3i Infrastructure following a two-year partnership that saw revenue grow more than 72 per cent.

In addition to helping more North West business leaders to pursue their growth plans, the team has increased its support for the local community through its charity partnerships. Over the past year the team has worked closely with Manchester charity Wood Street Mission, which has seen the team donate children’s books, clothing and other essential items to support children and families living on low incomes across Manchester and Salford.

LDC’s North West team is continuing to build on its momentum having announced a new investment in Talos360, an award-winning provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions, this month. The team plans to back more management teams across the North West as part of the LDC’s nationwide commitment to invest in at least 100 businesses over the next five years.
