James is an Investment Director in LDC’s Yorkshire team, based in Leeds. He is responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities, leading transactions and working with the management teams of LDC’s portfolio businesses to drive growth.
James joined LDC in 2022 and has 15 years’ experience in private equity and corporate finance, supporting the growth of businesses in key sectors such as technology, healthcare and consumer.
James started his career at EY where he became a Chartered Accountant. In 2014, he joined mid-market private equity firm NorthEdge where he became a Director. During his time with the firm, James worked on a number of successful investments with a combined equity deployed in excess of £200m.
James graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Mathematics.
