LDC collected three awards at the Central & East and Yorkshire Business Insider Dealmaker Awards 2018, which both took place last night.
In Central & East, LDC’s £28 million investment in Right Choice Insurance Brokers (RCIB) won ’Private Equity Deal of the Year’. RCIB is one of the UK’s leading vehicle insurance specialists and LDC’s partnership with the business is supporting its plans to invest in further developing its proprietary software and technology platform. LDC’s backing of the business was recognised for supporting the business to retain its regional brand whilst expanding.
In Yorkshire, LDC won two awards for its deals with Yorkshire estate agent Linley & Simpson and technology and data services provider NBS. LDC’s £10 million investment in Linley & Simpson in June won ‘Deal of the Year (£5m – £25m)’. LDC’s investment is already supporting the management team’s acquisition strategy with four acquisitions completed so far.
LDC’s £31.8 million investment in NBS was named ‘Private Equity Deal of the Year’. This follows on from collecting ‘Private Equity Deal of the Year’ at the North East Dealmaker Awards in September this year. NBS is a market-leading provider of technology, content and data services to professionals in the architectural, engineering and construction industries. LDC’s partnership with NBS is supporting the business to develop innovative new products and expand overseas.
