What is the new normal for entrepreneurship in 2021?

As part of our sponsorship of the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards, LDC’s Origination Director Zara Lane took part in a fascinating webinar on the nature of entrepreneurship in today’s climate.
Three ambitious entrepreneurs were also on the panel, alongside Julie Devonshire OBE, Director of the Entrepreneurship Institute at King’s College London and Sarah Austin, the Awards Director. The discussion was chaired by Jon Briggs, the original voice of Siri.
These business leaders offered their unique insights into what it means to be an entrepreneur in 2021:
• Jo Fairley, co-founder of Green & Black’s chocolate and the author of more than a dozen books, including the Beauty Bible series
• Martin McKay, CEO of assistive technology company Texthelp, who increased revenues by 40% during an 18-month partnership with LDC
• Josephine Philips, a FashionTech entrepreneur and founder of Sojo, the UK’s first clothing alterations and repairs app.
