We are pleased to reveal that Shaken Udder, Littlefish, FSP, CTI Group, ELE Advanced Technologies, Pertemps and recently exited Aker Systems have all been named as finalists at The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards 2022.
The awards recognise excellence in companies of every size across the UK. The programme hosts a year-long series of networking events and round tables, culminating in a spectacular awards ceremony on Tuesday 8th November 2022 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
After a competitive selection process, the finalists for 15 award categories have now been announced, with seven LDC portfolio businesses shortlisted across a number of different categories.
Essex-based Shaken Udder, the UK’s no.1 premium milkshake brand, has been shortlisted for The Lloyds Bank Small to Medium Business of the Year Award. With LDC’s support the business continues to expand its customer base across the UK.
IT specialist Littlefish was shortlisted in The Lloyds Bank Mid-Market Business of the Year category. LDC invested for a minority share in the Nottingham-based IT services provider in 2019. Over the last three years, the business has almost doubled revenues from £18.6m to £36.4m in its latest financial year and more than doubled its headcount to over 450.
Reading-based FSP has been shortlisted for two awards this year: The Employer of the Year Award and The Diversity Champion of the Year Award. The digital transformation services provider regularly runs initiatives and events for employees that promote diversity and inclusion and learning and development. LDC-backed Pertemps was also shortlisted for the Employer of the Year Award.
Bicester-based Aker Systems was shortlisted for The Scale Up Business of the Year Award. LDC invested in the business in 2020 and helped it to grow by more than 50% ahead of a sale to US-based private equity firm Abry Partners in 2021.
Digital agency CTI Group has been shortlisted for The Virgin Atlantic & Delta Air Lines Business Enabler of the Year Award. LDC invested £25m in the Manchester-based business earlier this year and is supporting its plan to grow through acquisition. The business completed its first bolt-on just four months after we invested.
Finally, Lancashire-based ELE Advanced Technology was shortlisted for The Gateley PLC Business Transformation of the Year Award. The nomination continues a fantastic year for the engineering business, which recently took home three awards at The 2022 Red Rose Awards.
We would like to congratulate all the finalists for The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards. We’re looking forward to the awards ceremony and the judging process for the LDC-sponsored category Entrepreneur of the Year. You can find out more details on the awards here.
LDC is actively looking to support more management teams to grow their businesses. We are committed to investing in at least 100 new mid-market businesses over the next five years.
