Dan Berry joined London-based digital agency Fusionworkshop – now UNRVLD – as operations director in 2012. “I was always ambitious but got fed up working for big corporates, so I joined UNRVLD.” Berry became CEO in 2020 and has super-charged the company’s growth. He’s completed two acquisitions, rebranded the business and opened an office in Lithuania. But he isn’t finished yet.

“It still feels like an unfinished journey,” he says.  The agency employs 200 people, with clients including Barratt Homes, Biffa and Crystal Palace. Berry is now eyeing opportunities in the States. “We want to be famous for creating unrivalled digital experiences for our clients,” he says.

Q&A

What made you join the company?

I started my career in network engineering, working for companies such as Nortel Networks and General Dynamics (GDUK). I was always ambitious but got fed up working for big corporates. I joined UNRVLD, which at the time was called Fusionworkshop, as operations director in 2012, back when it was a £1m-turnover agency employing just shy of 20 people. I really enjoyed working for a growing company where I knew everyone by name.

What’s your ambition?

We already have five offices across the UK, three in Europe (Lithuania, Amsterdam and Dublin) and we employ more than 200 people. Our growth has been mind-boggling, but it still feels like an unfinished journey. We want to be recognised as a global digital agency, and I’m now looking at opportunities in the States. Ultimately, I want to build a business that’s valued at more than £200m.

What’s your USP?

We are a digital experience and technology agency that focuses on business outcomes that help our clients set a new standard. We help brands to grow, outperform their competition and become unrivalled in their sector. We see ourselves as an ambitious, progressive challenger brand, shaking things up.
