Q&A

What was your vision when you took over?

Andy: We started with three founders, and it became a lifestyle business. But Vlad and I felt we wanted more, and the other partner moved on. We revitalised Amdaris and embraced our dreams. We were able to focus on what mattered: for us, the vision is to build a company with a compelling story and an amazing reputation around the world.

What are you doing to brings more skills into technology?

Vlad: We are super proud that we are investing in cultivating new talent. We have an established internship programme in Bristol. We have created apprenticeships. We are sponsoring universities in less wealthy countries. And we are building an auditorium for a technical university in Moldova, where I am from. We are growing the talent pool and creating the future generation of talent.

How has having a co-leader impacted your success?

Vlad: The fact that we’re co-leaders fosters a model of collaboration in the company – there are no dictators here. We do disagree but all disagreement is healthy. We encourage our team to disagree too, and model open debate as a route to the best answers.

Andy: It’s taken 12 years of blood, sweat and tears to forge this relationship. We have worked at it and the hard work has paid off.
