Chris is responsible for identifying management teams across the South looking to grow their business with the support of a private equity partner. Based in Reading, he works side-by-side with management throughout the investment partnership to help them realise their growth ambitions.

Since joining LDC in 2015, Chris has worked on the management buyout of BOFA International and its subsequent £90million sale to Donaldson Inc. During the three year partnership with BOFA, Chris helped the business to double its revenues and increase headcount by more than 50%. In addition, he played an important role in LDC’s partnership with Microlease, which saw the business expand in the UK and overseas through six complementary acquisitions, and also supported Equiom with a global buy-and-build strategy which saw the group complete more than 25 acquisitions in five years.

Chris focuses on the technology sector and has recently led the management buyouts of e-commerce fulfilment specialist James and James, recruitment technology provider Amberjack and HR software provider CIPHR, where he sits on the board. He was also previously involved with Property Software Group, prior to the £75million exit to Zoopla plc in 2016.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2004 at Reed Business School, Chris spent 10 years in Grant Thornton’s M&A team as a Director, with a focus on software and technology-led businesses.
