Ramco, established in Aberdeen in 1977, is a specialist in the inspection, internal and external blast cleaning and protective coating of steel pipes.
These pipes are used in the oil and gas exploration and production sector for recovery and transmission applications.
In March 2013, LDC completed the secondary management buyout of the business and Ramco’s management team is committed to further international expansion following its acquisition of Norway-based Pipetech International in 2014.
In 2017, Ramco secured four new contracts worth more than £35m. The new contracts have enabled Ramco to deliver pipe care excellence across a range of service lines, including oil country tubular goods (OCTG) support services for nine operational facilities, inventory management, logistics, storage, blast cleaning, off-shore preparation and inspection services.
