Two LDC-backed businesses feature in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100

Digital marketing agency Croud and surveillance systems manufacturer WCCTV, both backed by LDC, feature in this year’s Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100.
The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years. Compiled by Fast Track, the list features companies that have delivered impressive performance results, as well as outstanding contributions to the economy.
Croud placed 11th in the nationwide list. Its inclusion highlights the business’ continued stellar growth and performance, with annual profit growth over its last three financial years to March 2020 standing at 80%. The Profit Track list notes that its network of more than 2,400 on-demand experts, or “Croudies”, covers 118 countries and 86 languages. As well as partnering with longstanding clients such as IWG, AXA IM and Avanti (formerly Virgin Trains), the business’ growth has been buoyed by new client relationships with the likes of Avon, Paul Smith, and Amara.
In November 2019, Croud secured a £30m minority investment from, which has helped the business to continue grow and bring on board new hires.
This listing also follows a successful few months for Croud, having recently been named Performance Marketing Agency of the Year in Campaign’s Agency of the Year UK and EMEA awards.
Rochdale-based WCCTV was named as a One to Watch in the list. The company specialises in providing redeployable CCTV, electronic site security systems, body worn cameras and time lapse video services.
In February 2021, the business secured a £30m investment from LDC for a minority stake. WCCTV’s partnership with LDC is supporting its ambitious domestic and international expansion plan.
WCCTV has just enjoyed a record trading performance in March and is opening a fourth UK office in Newport to join the existing ones in Rochdale, Luton and Edinburgh.
