Omniplex Learning, a leading provider of digital learning services, has announced the acquisition of cyber security training provider Matobo.
The transaction marks Omniplex Learning’s third acquisition since it partnered with private equity investor LDC in December 2020, as the business looks to identify further strategic acquisitions.
Established in 2012 by BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Ben Giles, Matobo offers National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) certified eLearning for cyber security and GDPR. Its background in international TV and film production enables it to produce high-quality video eLearning modules and it is a leader in the cyber security learning space, with an impressive portfolio that includes partnerships with private and public sector organisations such as the BBC and London Fire Brigade.
The addition of Matobo enhances Omniplex Learning’s existing suite of digital learning products and services, which include Articulate, Docebo, Vyond, and digital adoption platform, Omniplex Guide.
LDC partnered with Omniplex Learning’s management team, led by CEO Patrick Jocelyn, to help it consolidate the business’ market-leading position and target further organic growth and complementary acquisitions. Omniplex Learning has since acquired SAAS digital adoption specialist Nickelled and IT and digital transformation training specialist Good e-Learning.
Patrick Jocelyn, CEO at Omniplex Learning, said: “Our customers have identified cyber security as a key and evolving challenge. By integrating Matobo’s industry leading courses into our digital learning portfolio, we can offer the industry’s best training. We plan to work closely with the Matobo team in the coming months to expand our offerings to address the new security and GDPR challenges associated with AI and other threats. This will complement our Good e-Learning digital transformation portfolio, which we acquired just over a year ago.
