LDC’s Jacob Leone wins Rising Star at North West Rainmakers 2023

LDC Investment Director Jacob Leone has been named Rising Star at The Business Desk’s North West Rainmaker of the Year Awards for 2023.

Winners of the awards, which celebrate the contributions and achievements of the region’s dealmaking community, were decided by the North West corporate finance community on a ‘one firm, one vote’ basis.

Jacob, an active member of the local corporate finance community, was presented with the award at a ceremony held at Manchester’s Midland Hotel. He has supported six investments and four acquisitions since joining LDC’s North West team in 2019, which led to him being promoted to Investment Director earlier this year.

Most recently, Jacob led the investment in Merseyside-based AI-driven talent analytics platform, Horsefly, in March 2023, and he has also played a leading role in several of LDC’s most significant tech investments, including partnerships with digital transformation business CTI Group, games developer Marmalade, and software company IEG4.
