Leading mid-market private equity firm LDC has expanded its team of Value Creation Partners with the appointment of a new VCP Director, to further enhance the support it provides for its portfolio of fast-growing medium-sized firms.
With 20 years’ industry experience, Cécile George joins as a VCP Director specialising in commercial strategy. In her role at LDC she will focus on helping the management teams across LDC’s portfolio to accelerate growth by optimising their sales, marketing and pricing strategies.
Prior to joining LDC, Cécile supported private equity-backed companies – including those in the manufacturing, retail, technology and media sectors – to implement new pricing methodologies, enhance their customer service offering and improve their sales and marketing strategies. She also has broad international experience, which includes a series of senior roles at McKinsey & Company in Europe, and at Pakka Trade, a Swiss start-up investing in fair-trade projects in India and Africa.
LDC’s nationwide team of Value Creation Partners are strategic experts that support portfolio businesses throughout the whole lifecycle of an investment. With more than 150 years’ experience of operational, technology and commercial leadership combined, the team works in partnership with management teams and LDC’s investors to add value and unlock new growth avenues for their business.
This includes helping management teams to develop their IT, pricing and marketing strategies, in addition to supporting with operational improvements, supply chain optimisation, integration following a merger or acquisition, and digital transformation. The team also supports management teams as they implement ESG strategies, target growth organically or through acquisitions, and expand internationally.
The team has helped to create value across LDC’s portfolio, including supporting Fishawack, a global healthcare communications agency, to accelerate its international expansion strategy and supporting the management team of equestrian retail brand LeMieux as it transformed its sales channels in response to changing customer habits.
