The LDC Top 50 2022 judges revealed

As preparations intensify for this year’s LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Leaders, the 2022 judging panel has been announced. 

The programme, now in its fifth year and in partnership with The Times, celebrates the driving forces behind growing medium-sized businesses from across the UK economy – championing tales of ambition, inclusion, sustainable impact and innovation.

This year’s Chair of the Judging Panel is Carl Castledine, CEO of leading holiday park operator Away Resorts. Carl founded Away Resorts in 2008 and the business now boasts 27 holidays parks and has been rated in the top 100 fastest growing businesses in the UK.

Carl is joined by Nisha Katona MBE – the CEO and executive chef of Mowgli Street Food restaurants and founder of the Mowgli Trust charity – and healthcare communications guru Jan Steele, co-founder of Lucid Group.

The panel is completed by Kate Bassett, resident editor for The Top 50 in 2022, and John Garner, Managing Partner at LDC. The judges will deliberate and debate this year’s Top 50 and Ones to Watch over the next few months, in preparation for the individual award winner announcements later in the year.
