LDC’s 13th annual charity quiz was a night to remember on Wednesday, with £120,000 raised to help support our charity partners from across the country.
Gathering at venues across eight UK Cities – London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Reading and Cardiff, more than160 teams put their knowledge to the test and battled it out in the pursuit of this year’s crown.
Despite stiff competition, HMT in Reading took the crown for the 2nd year in a row with HSBC in Birmingham following second and LDC portfolio company CIPHR in Reading placing in third position.
Generous team donations and ‘on the night’ fundraising events, including raffles and auctions, raised £120,000 for our charities, bringing our total quiz fundraising tally to over £1.3million since it began in 2005.
All funds gathered on the night will be distributed to our local LDC charity partners – Alzheimer’s Society Cymru, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Breast Cancer Care Scotland, Camp Mohawk, Francis House Children’s Hospice, London’s Air Ambulance, Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and When You Wish upon a Star.
We’d like to thank everyone who attended for helping us raise an outstanding amount for such deserving causes, and we look forward to welcoming you all again next year to help raise even more money to support the fantastic work these organisations do.
