LDC has underlined its commitment to supporting community causes across the UK by contributing over £1m to charities last year.
Our teams in every part of Britain contributed to fundraising and donations totalling £1.1m during 2023. Colleagues in LDC’s ten offices have the freedom to choose the charities and community groups they support in their regions, ensuring their commitments help a wide range of organisations.
Among the charities supported during 2023 were Birmingham Children’s Hospital of which LDC became a ‘Changemaker’ , food charity FareShare Cymru, Maggie’s cancer care centre in Leeds, London’s Air Ambulance, Manchester-based children’s charity Wood Street Mission, food banks across the East Midlands and East of England, Greggs Foundation, which provides breakfasts to children from challenging backgrounds, and Camp Mohawk, a Berkshire-based day centre for children with special needs.
LDC’s annual Charity Quiz, in its 16th year, raised over £185,000 for charitable causes, a record in the history of The LDC Charity Quiz and brings the total amount we’ve raised since its inception in 2005 to over £1.8m.
LDC is also a leading supporter of The Prince’s Trust, the youth charity founded by His Majesty The King. In 2022 we doubled our commitment to the charity and last year we were named ‘Partner of the Year’ at The Prince’s Trust Partnership Awards.
Toby Rougier, Chief Executive of LDC, said: “Once again I’m hugely proud of our colleagues’ contribution to organisations that support fantastic causes. Our UK-wide network ensures that our impact reaches every part of the country and, crucially, our teams on the ground can choose who receives their time and donations.
