LDC was named Private Equity Firm of the Year at last night’s Business Magazine’s Thames Valley Deals Awards.
The awards bring together the Thames Valley’s advisers, lawyers, bankers and investors to celebrate the achievements of the local corporate finance community. LDC’s South team was recognised as ‘a clear winner with a significant impact on the investment landscape in the region both in terms of new deals, supporting existing portfolio and M&A’.
During the qualifying period, the team completed 19 transactions. This included new partnerships with Brighton-headquartered hospitality and leisure venue BOXPARK and cyber-security and cloud-application performance specialist Red Helix.
LDC was also awarded Large Deal of the Year for its exit from Oxfordshire-headquartered Aker Systems following a successful 14-month partnership that saw the cloud technology company grow by more than 50%.
In addition, LDC continued to back its portfolio management teams to grow organically and make acquisitions. For example, Unified communications and cyber security services provider Babble completed 11 acquisitions during the qualifying period.
This year, LDC’s South team has increased its support for Berkshire-based Camp Mohawk. The charity provides a place for children and young people with special needs to learn and achieve their potential. The team has donated their time and provided financial support to help to maintain and update the centre.
LDC extends its congratulations to all of the companies and individuals that won awards or were shortlisted at the Thames Valley Deals Awards 2022. You can view the full list of winners here.
