Sophie is responsible for Investment Origination for LDC across the Yorkshire region. Her role is to identify and build relationships with ambitious business owners and management teams that would benefit from private equity investment to accelerate growth.
Having joined LDC in January 2022, Sophie is based out of the Leeds office. Prior to LDC, she spent three years in the investment team of growth capital investor BGF, where her role encompassed investing into growing lower mid-market businesses and looking after two portfolio companies, as well as identifying new business opportunities.
Sophie began her career with over seven years at Deloitte, spending time working in both their London and Leeds offices. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, she joined their Corporate Finance practice where she advised a wide range of businesses on M&A, disposals, joint ventures, strategic reviews and acquisition searches.
Sophie also holds a degree in Economics from Durham University.
