As LDC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Sam supports the growth of the business and our portfolio companies through marketing, branding and communications activities. She is a member of LDC’s Executive Committee.

Since joining LDC in 2016, Sam and her team have created successful programmes such as The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders and LDC’s partnership with The Prince’s Trust: Backing Youth Ambition, as well as leading new digital marketing and advocacy initiatives, and supporting hundreds of transactions.

She has more than 20 years of experience in B2B and corporate marketing and communications.

Prior to LDC, Sam was Marketing Director at Arvato, an international business process outsourcing company, part of the Bertelsmann Group.

Before moving client-side, she spent 12 years working at two of the largest global communications consultancies.

Sam held multiple roles in her seven years at Hill & Knowlton spending time in both London and Stuttgart. She headed the UK business development function and a global client service initiative, and led the firm’s international relationships with LinkedIn, Samsung, Intel and HP.

At Edelman, Sam was based in London and New York, supporting clients including Factiva and Orange Business Solutions.

She is a graduate of the University of Lancaster and the University of Colorado, and loves to travel.
