In 2010 LDC invested £18m into the Exceed Fund which was set up for fast-growing SMEs across a range of sectors, including biotech, environmental technologies, IT and software and service sectors.
The fund, which can invest between £250,000 and £750,000 from the £18m pot, is managed by Midven, a specialist venture capital firms whose investment managers have significant expertise and experience in the sectors that the fund caters for.
