As part of the transaction, telecoms expert John Trower joined Commsworld as Chairman. John has significant experience of working for and advising private equity backed telecoms businesses and has held board roles at Metronet UK and Glasgow-based My1Login.
The deal provided an exit for the remaining Non-Executive Directors and private shareholders.
In 2020 Commsworld was unveiled as one of the best-performing privately-owned technology companies in the UK, ranked 27th out of 50 peers, at the Megabuyte50 Awards and also ranked in The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 (Covid-19 edition) with the business bring praised for using its website to share advice on remote-working technology, highlighting deals from the likes of Microsoft and Mitel, during the Coronavirus pandemic.
