Aspire: Targeting organic and acquisitive growth

Aspire Technology Solutions is on of the UK’s leading cyber security and modern workplace managed service providers.

It provides a broad range of technology solutions across a range of applications including cloud, connectivity, voice, technical support, and cyber security. Its full fibre network provides bandwidth speeds of up to 100 gigabits per second – some of the fastest connectivity speeds available in the UK.

With a 17-year legacy in the technology sector, Aspire has experienced significant growth, serving over 1,700 customers and nurturing a dedicated team of around 250 experts. With a notable footprint across the UK, including offices in Gateshead, London, Leeds, and Teesside, Aspire has earned a reputation for delivering leading solutions across cyber security, cloud, managed services, connectivity, and unified communications.

Expanding its services and footprint

LDC backed the management team in March 2022, with a significant minority investment in a transaction that valued the business at £85m. LDC is now helping the management team to pursue an ambitious organic and acquisitive growth strategy to expand its UK footprint and suite of services.

LDC’s investment will also accelerate the business’ existing plans to create 150 new jobs across the North East at its recently opened HQ at Gateshead Quays, and at its new base at Fusion Hive, a business and innovation centre at Stockton’s Northshore.

In 2022, Aspire received an ‘excellent’ rating for its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance from Sustainable Advantage, one of the UK’s leading energy and waste consultants.
