Three LDC-backed businesses recognised at BVCA Vision 2022

Last week, The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association hosted its 2022 Gala Dinner to celebrate the business leaders and management teams that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in areas such as growth, innovation and ESG.
The event concluded Vision 2022, the BVCA’s national awards programme, and saw LDC-backed businesses Hybrid, Wireless CCTV and The Lomond Group all named as a One to Watch in their respective regions.
Bristol-based Hybrid was named One to Watch in the South West and Wales after the digital media agency launched its first office in the USA and announced its plans to grow the new office to 80 employees over the next two to three years. This announcement came one year since invested in the business. We’re continuing to support the management team’s plans to broaden its services to clients and pursue its domestic and international growth ambitions.
WCCTV was also named a One to Watch in the North West. The Rochdale-based provider of wireless surveillance products, including redeployable CCTV, site security solutions and body worn cameras, has a strong track record and has grown consistently since we backed the management team in early 2021. Earlier this year, the business also received ISO 27001, which is the gold standard in security management, for all of its products, services, offices and operations in the UK.
And finally, fast-growing lettings and estate agency The Lomond Group was named One to Watch in Scotland. We backed the creation of The Lomond Group at the end of 2020 in a £100million transaction that saw the merger of Lomond Capital and Linley & Simpson, and have since helped the group to expand significantly through acquisition.
It is fantastic to see three LDC-backed businesses recognised by the BVCA and we look forward to seeing how their growth ambitions continue to evolve as we move into 2023.
