LDC wins funder of the year at East Midlands Dealmaker Awards

LDC’s Midlands team was named Funder of the Year in the East Midlands Dealmakers Awards, announced today by East Midlands Business Insider.

The awards, which judged investment activity in the East Midlands in 2019, recognised LDC’s stellar performance in the region that year. During the qualifying period, LDC backed the £50m MBO of independent corporate clothing group Mi Hub and completed a minority investment in Nottingham-headquartered managed IT services provider Littlefish. The team also sold a stake in resorts operator Away Resorts to Bregal Freshstream, whilst retaining a minority stake in the business.

Due to the pandemic, no awards ceremony took place this year, but the region’s corporate finance firms, banks, funders, private equity houses and individuals that have excelled in dealmaking are still being honoured by Insider.

LDC continues to be committed to backing the ambition of management teams through the pandemic. Throughout 2020, we have remained active in the market and have completed more than 30 new investments and bolt ons across the UK.
