LDC recognised in Real Deals Future 40: ESG Innovators

LDC has been named in this year’s Real Deals Future 40: ESG Innovators in recognition of our efforts to champion ESG excellence and deliver on our nine commitments to support a more sustainable and equitable future.

The list commends the individuals, funds, consultancies and advisers within the private equity industry that are aligning profit and purpose. It highlights how private-market investment is making a measurable difference to our society and environment.

The judges were impressed by LDC’s level of engagement with ESG matters and the firm’s broad range of company-wide initiatives. This included recognition for our partnership with The Prince’s Trust where we are the leading corporate supporter of young entrepreneurs.

Our efforts to champion diversity resonated with the judges. In 2022 alone, we welcomed almost 30 new joiners, 60 per cent of these new employees are diverse. We also work closely with organisations that promote diversity and drive better representation in the private equity industry such as Level 20 and we have supported the #10000blackinterns programme since 2020.

LDC was praised for helping its portfolio management teams to broaden their understanding of ESG risks and opportunities. With our support, companies across the UK and in diverse sectors are making significant improvements when it comes to ESG innovation and are growing sustainably.
