David Bains crowned Professional Services Leader at the East Midlands Leadership Awards

David Bains, Partner and Head of the East Midlands and East of England at LDC, was named Professional Services Leader at the East Midlands Leadership Awards 2023.

The awards – which recognise extraordinary leadership and celebrate industry role models who are driving positive impact in the region – saw a higher standard of entries than ever, according to TheBusinessDesk’s Midlands editor.

The judges praised David’s leading role in some of LDC’s recent high-profile transactions in the East Midlands, including the firm’s investments in environmental consultancy Stonbury, leading milkshake brand Shaken Udder, and cloud technology business ENSEK. He also led the minority investment and exit of managed IT services provider Littlefish, where the business doubled revenues and headcount over a three-year partnership.

As Head of the East Midlands and East of England team, David continues to grow the team to support LDC’s investment activity in the region, recently welcoming Investment Director Simon Peacock, and Investment Managers Nicole Wong and Mikayil Salahov to the firm. He also plays a key role in LDC’s partnership with The Prince’s Trust and has led the team’s support of six local foodbanks.

The growing team plans to back more ambitious management teams across the East Midlands and East of England as part of LDC’s nationwide commitment to invest in at least 100 businesses nationally over the next five years.
