James is highly respected member of the Yorkshire investment community who is known for his supportive and collaborative approach and is a perfect fit for our team. He brings a wealth of experience having supported businesses and worked with advisers in our region for nearly 15 years. I’m excited to have him on board and I know he’ll help us realise our ambition to increase our investment in businesses across Yorkshire.”
James Marshall, Investment Director at LDC, added: “Dan and the team in Yorkshire have a reputation for successfully supporting some of the region’s standout business growth stories. I’m looking forward to working with the team as they strengthen the support they provide to management teams across the region.”
Alongside its investment in businesses across the region, LDC’s team in Yorkshire is increasing its support for local causes such as St Gemma’s Hospice, which provides care for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses; Zarach, which delivers beds and mattresses to children in poverty; cancer care charity Maggies; and Candlelighters, which helps families facing children’s cancer in Yorkshire. The team also worked closely with local business and the advisory community in Yorkshire to raise funds in aid of Ukrainian refugees.
In partnership with The Prince’s Trust, LDC is also supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs based in Yorkshire – such as the founder of Hull-based Fantastic Faces. In July, LDC announced it had more than doubled its nationwide commitment to The Prince’s Trust to help 10,000 young people across the UK to start, sustain and grow their own business.
